Youth Minister Receives Courtesy Visit From Commonwealth Secretary – General Patricia Scotland

The Honourable Foster Cummings, Minister of Youth Development and National Service shares a copy of the National Youth Policy of Trinidad and Tobago with the Rt Honourable Patricia Scotland KC, Secretary- General of the Commonwealth.

Secretary- General of the Commonwealth – the Rt Honourable Patricia Scotland KC, paid a courtesy visit to Youth Development and National Service Minister – the Honourable Foster Cummings, on Monday 12th June, 2022, at the Head Office of Ministry of Youth Development and National Service in Port of Spain.

During the meeting Minister Cummings and Commonwealth officials discussed matters pertinent to the sustainable development of young people in Trinidad and Tobago and the region at large. The Rt Honourable Patricia Scotland KC is visiting Trinidad and Tobago to attend the Violence, Self and the Young Male (VSYM5) Meeting which is taking place from June 11 to 15, 2023.

On her visit, the Rt Honourable Patricia Scotland KC, was also accompanied by Adviser and Head, Good Offices Section, Good Offices, Governance and Peace Directorate – Dr Michelle Scobie, Assistant Research Officer, Governance and Peace Directorate – Mr Mukhtar Oyinlola Adesunkanmi and Head of Media Relations, Media and Public Affairs – Ms Charmaine Wright.
