Minister Cummings Discusses Youth Development With Stakeholders

The Honourable Foster Cummings, Minister of Youth Development and National Service (c), with members of the MYDNS, meets with the Executive Management of the Police Youth Clubs.

The Honourable Foster Cummings, Minister of Youth Development and National Service (MYDNS) engaged in two meetings with executive members of the Police Youth Clubs and Oje Egungun Society for Ancestral Veneration and Cultural Revivalism, on Monday 15th May, 2023. The meetings took place at the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service (MYDNS), Head Office in St. Clair, Port of Spain. The purpose of these meetings were to explore developmental opportunities for young people.

The first meeting sought to discuss the relationship between the MYDNS and the Police Youth Clubs. It entailed detailed discussions on the expansion of the Police Youth Clubs, the participation of Police Youth Club members in various programmes of the Ministry as well as the continued partnership in leadership and governance training.

The Oje Egungun Society for Ancestral Veneration and Cultural Revivalism is a group concerned with the cultural retention and appreciation of the African heritage. During this meeting discussions included the development and support of a cultural empowerment programme for the enlightenment of respective communities.
