Minister Phillip Watts receives a Warm Welcome to the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs

Newly-appointed Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, the Honourable Phillip Watts received a warm welcome at the Ministry’s Head Office in St. Clair, Port of Spain, on Monday 5th May 2025. On hand to greet the Minister were Permanent Secretary (Ag.) Mr. Narine Charran, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ag.) Mrs. Savitri Balkaran and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Ag.) Mr. Gabre-Jesu McTair.

The Honourable Phillip Watts assumes his post as Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs

The Ministry’s Executives presented an update on programmes offered to athletes and youth between 10 and 35 years. During this brief Minister Watts shared, ” I am looking forward to working with this team. Let’s work together to get the job done and make this the best performing ministry.”

Minister Watts toured the Head Office and greeted members of staff. The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs stands ready to support the Honourable Phillip Watts as he continues the advancement of Sport and Youth Affairs agenda in Trinidad and Tobago.
