That is a question that I am confident to answer every time as we continue to roll out programmes like A.L.L. S.E.T.”

The A.L.L. S.E.T. Programme – a collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service (MYDNS) and the National Energy Skills Centre – is designed to foster and promote employability for youth between 18 and 35 years old through training in Heavy Machinery Operations.

Tyrell Farrow, an A.L.L. S.E.T. trainee praised the programme saying, “A.L.L. S.E.T. allows for significant personal and professional growth as it relates directly to my area of business in general contracting. For this, I extend a heartfelt thank you to the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service for seizing the opportunity to create practical programmes in non-traditional spheres.”

Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, the Honourable Faris Al-Rawi linked the programme to the work of his Ministry as he explained, “In Local Government there is tremendous opportunity. All your knowledge will have economic value. From the Local Government perspective, there are incredible opportunities and tremendous work to be done that require your skill set.”

President of the National Energy Skills Centre (N.E.S.C.) – Mr. Kern Dass disclosed, “We received over 2100 applications for 100 spots for this programme. Only 5% of you are lucky enough to be in this programme. You have an opportunity that 95% of people don’t have.”
